Transit Projects

Public Transportation Public transportation services in the region are led by two providers, ATA with its mix of fixed-route, deviated fixed-route, and Call-A-Bus services; and DuFAST Transit. DuFAST operates three fixed-route circulator shuttles on weekdays with one-hour headways and other special service.

Area Transportation Authority (ATA) – ATA was established in 1976 and offers both fixed-route and demand-responsive services throughout a six-county region.  ATA is headquartered in Johnsonburg and operates maintenance facilities in Bradford, DuBois, and Johnsonburg. The Johnsonburg facility handles all of the major vehicle maintenance repairs while the DuBois facility also provides maintenance services to DuFAST.

DuFAST Transit is an independently-operated bus transportation provider established in 1973 to operate fixed-route service in the City of DuBois, Falls Creek Borough, and Sandy Township. DuFAST’s office headquarters is located in DuBois.
